Music Technology & Recording?
The 21st century has ushered in a revolution in how music is created and consumed. The average music listener has more songs available to them on their phone than the most devoted collector could’ve accumulated in a lifetime. A songwriter with a MacBook computer has more studio tools available to them for FREE than a million dollar studio could provide only 20 years ago.
The challenge is to utilize these tools to rise above the noise.
What to Expect For
New Students
Our students work in Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Sibelius, Garageband, Final Cut Pro and more. These tools can be used for composition, recording, or even creating video game music! Learn to write a score for a symphony orchestra, or to write and record your own music. Learn to mix a demo for your band, or to create an online presence for your music. The possibilities are endless!

Tuition Rates
Monthly Tuition Rates: based on 45 lessons offered per year
Tuition is payable monthly on the 1st of the month. Payment is always the same flat rate.
There is an annual $45 /per family studio registration fee.

What equipment do I need to get started with Music Technology?
You will need a computer running D.A.W. software like Logic Pro or Pro Tools and a keyboard. You may also need a microphone and an audio interface.
What type of computer should I have?
Electronic and acoustic drums have advantages and disadvantages; the choice largely depends on your preferences, budget, and living situation. Either option is suitable for learning to play.
What is a D.A.W.?
A D.A.W., or Digital Audio Workstation, is software for recording, editing, mixing, and producing audio and music. DAWs are the central hub for music production, providing an environment where you can work with various audio and MIDI tracks, virtual instruments, and audio effects plugins to create and arrange music.
Some popular DAWs include Logic Pro, Pro Tools, FL Studio, Cubase, Ableton Live, and Reaper. Each DAW has unique features, workflow, and capabilities, catering to different user preferences and music production styles. DAWs can be used by musicians, composers, sound designers, and audio engineers in various music genres and multimedia projects such as film, television, video games, and advertising.
